Goodbye, The New York Times. It's been real nice knowing you.
You're looking at the last print issue of The New York Times that will be regularly delivered to my house.
I tried. I really did. For 3-4 months I dutifully awoke every morning, and retrieved the paper from my front stoop. I brewed a cup of coffee and read my paper, many times from cover to cover.
But, in this age of user generated content (and I'm certainly not the first to say it), I just couldn't justify paying that large subscription fee for a non-updated, curated trip through the previous day's news when I can get an updated, curated trip through right now's news from any number of websites and blogs.
Plus, an iPad is in my future...
